In 1969, consumer products company, Alberto-Culver, purchased
what has grown to become an 11-store operation at Sally Beauty.

Michael Renzulli appointed to run Sally Beauty operations |
Mike Renzulli, a former Philadelphia pharmacist, is employed at
Alberto-Culver as a brand manager. Leonard Lavin asks Renzulli to
move to New Orleans to head up Sally Beauty, a small cash-and-carry
beauty supply store.

Sally Beauty Supply enters its first International venture
through the acquisition of 30 Ogee beauty stores based in the U.K.
At home, Sally celebrates the opening of its 500th store and more

3900 Morse Street in Denton.

stores to Sally Beauty Supply.

R.M. Barnum Beauty Supply and F.H. Loeffler are acquired and
combined with Victory Beauty Supply to create Beauty Systems Group
(BSG). Sally Beauty Supply expands its International footprint into
Germany and celebrates the 1,500th store mark. Sally
Beauty Company launches SallyCares, a philanthropic program to
support breast cancer research, Cosmetology Advancement Foundation
(CAF) scholarship fund and the Shelter Program, a program to help
victims of domestic abuse.

Sally's e-commerce website debuts featuring information and

Beauty stores number 2,300 and Beauty Systems Group purchases 130
Armstrong McCall franchised stores.

Sally Beauty Company breaks ground for a new 200,000-sq-ft
Worldwide Support Center in Denton, Texas. Beauty Systems Group
expands into the Western U.S. with the acquisition of West Coast
Beauty Supply, a full-service distributor of professional beauty
products with 123 stores.

Sally Beauty Supply enters Canada and reaches 2,400 stores worldwide |
Sally Beauty Supply expands its presence to Canada. Sally
continues its ongoing support of breast cancer research at City of
Hope and presented a check for $100,000 at the annual gala event in
Las Vegas bringing the total that Sally Beauty has raised to more
than $3 million. Halle Berry wins Best Female Celebrity Hair in the
Sally "CelebHead" consumer poll for the third year in a row. Sally
Beauty reaches 2,400 stores and $1.4 billion in sales.

Also in 2005, Beauty Systems Group entered the Los Angeles and Hawaiian marketplace to expand into the Western U.S. through the acquisition of 93 CosmoProf stores.

Sally Beauty Holdings [NYSE:SBH] becomes an independent public Company |
In June 2006, Beauty Systems Group (BSG) acquired U.K. based
Salon Success (www.salon-success.co.uk ). Salon Success is the sole U.K. distributor of Paul
Mitchell Luxury Hair Care products. On November 16, 2006 Sally
Beauty Holdings becomes an independent public company and Gary
Winterhalter is named President and CEO.

Sally Beauty acquires UK based Salon Services |
In February 2007, Sally Beauty Holdings acquired Salon Services
based in the UK providing a strong European presence for the
Company. At the time of the acquisition, Salon Services had
approximately 100 stores located in U.K, Ireland, Germany and
Spain.

Sally Beauty acquires Belgium based Pro-Duo |
In May 2008, Sally Beauty Holdings acquired Pro-Duo, a European
distributor of professional beauty products. Pro-Duo is based in
Belgium and as of the acquisition date, operated 40 stores in
Belgium, France, and Spain. This acquisition provided the Sally
Beauty Supply business an important geographic foothold throughout
key areas of Continental Europe.

Sally Beauty Supply made its entre into South America through the acquisition of Chile-based InterSalon, based in Santiago, Chile. Today, the stores are branded Sally. |
Also in 2009, Beauty Systems Group (BSG) acquired Schoeneman Beauty Supply, Inc., a leading full-service distributor of professional beauty products. At the time of the acquisition, the Company owned 43 professional-only beauty supply stores located in Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, Northern Delaware and West Virginia.

Sally reaches its 4,000th stores and BSG acquires Aerial |
Sally Beauty Holdings opened its 4,000th store in Charlotte,
North Carolina on July 19, 2010. The Company is now located in 11
countries around the world with annual revenue of $2.6 billion. In
October 2010, Beauty Systems Group acquired Aerial Company, Inc., a
leading distributor in the professional beauty products industry
with 82 stores and 70 direct sales consultants in the Midwest
region of the U.S.

Sally Beauty acquires Netherland based Floral Group |
In November 2011, Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. acquired
Netherland based Kappersservice Floral B.V. and two related
companies, Hair Zone B.V. and Exphair B.V. (the "Floral Group").
The Floral Group is headquartered in Eindhoven, Netherlands and
operates three concepts in the beauty industry that serve the
professional and retail consumer.
